Driving Instructors

If you are looking for a driving instructor (ADI) the IAM has a list of those who are members of the IAM.This means that they have qualified as a driving instructor, and have also passed an advanced driving test to become an IAM member.

We do not quality assure the instructors on this register - but they are members of the country’s largest advanced driving organisation.

Learning to Drive:

The Driving Standards Agency strongly recommends that you are taught by a Licensed Driving Instructor, this is the best and the safest way to pass your Test.

There are two types of Licensed Instructor, Trainee Instructors and Fully Qualified Instructors (ADI’s).

Find Driving Instructors in your local area:

Enter the first part of the postcode where you want to take your lessons (that is, the part before the space) to find out if there are any IAM-Registered Instructors in your area. Only enter one postcode at a time. Additional searches can be carried out after results are shown.
