The IAM in the Republic of Ireland

The IAM has announced plans to develop the structure and profile of the organisation in southern Ireland. With over 3,000 current full members in the country there is the desire and interest for the IAM to launch its Skill For Life car and motorcycle programmes in 2010.

An initial meeting was held in Abbeyleix in March 2010 and plans developed to form a Southern Ireland IAM members group. Here are some of the exciting developments that will happen soon keep checking back here for updates.

Southern Irish members will be offered training to become Observers/Mentors and provide guidance for people wishing to prepare for the Advanced Driving or Riding Test.

• The IAM will provide Skill for Life in Ireland
• An IAM website exclusively for Ireland will be created
• Regular newsletters and social events will be created for our Irish members
• The IAM will host a number of local track based Skills Days for members
