Darrell Goddard, Transport Team, BSkyB, had this to say about "How to be a better cyclist"
We think How to be a better cyclist is a great book and will help make cyclists safer on the road. Well be providing them to our staff who cycle.
Cycling England welcomes IAMs Advanced Cycling: the essential guide. It is full of sound advice on preparation, positioning and communication with other road users. It is an ideal complement to Bikeability training for adults and older children who want to continue to learn and remind themselves how to be a better cyclist.
I regularly use the photos and diagrams as further illustrations and teaching points during cycling instruction sessions. This book greatly assists in demonstrating good cycling techniques and provides trainees with reference materials as they develop their confidence and skills.
Ms Sunny Deyns, London said this about her Cycle training
I found the IAM cycle training really beneficial. I used to do all of my exercise in a spinning class at the gym, but now I have the confidence to cycle 6 miles to work instead!
Ed Wigzell, Sustainable Travel Officer, Oxford University Estates Directorate
I continue to receive comments from our staff saying how much they like the IAM How to be a better cyclist guide. Beginners and experienced cyclists alike say that it has helped them to feel more confident, visible and predictable.
Ms Jo-Anne Beadle, E.ON Nottingham, had this to say about her cycle training session
I had my first cycling session on Sunday morning and we went past the place where the accident had happened; this went very well and did not affect me at all...... [The instructor] was very good with me and I would certainly recommend this service to anyone recovering from a road traffic accident on a bike as it helped me with my confidence.
