Overview of The Hibernian Ignition Programme
The Hibernian Ignition programme originated in 2001. Ignition is a Driver Training course that has been specially tailored towards inexperienced drivers and focuses on the aspects of driver attitude and hazard management. The measurement of driver behaviour enables Hibernian to manage the risk of its policyholders and is instrumental in improving the standard of driving on Irish Roads. It has been developed in partnership with IAM Fleet Training Ltd.
The Ignition programme combines an interactive e-learning package coupled with a practical on-road assessment. This programme encourages delegates to look at their attitudes towards driving, and to apply the technique of creating space and time to more safely manage hazards. Successful delegates are eligible for a discount of 20%-50% on a private motor insurance premium from Hibernian Insurance.
