IAM Fleet was named ‘Driver Training Company Of The Year’ at the 2006 GreenFleet Awards ceremony, October 12, Emirates Stadium, London. The Award was presented to IAM Fleet’s UK Business Manager, Derek
Camp, by TV personality Tiff Needell and John Mulkeen of the Award’s sponsor, BMC.
Said IAM Fleet’s Business Development Manager, Sue Pesch, “We are delighted to have received this accolade during the IAM’s 50th Anniversary year. It recognises the training work we have carried out with over 1000 organisations in both the public and private sectors around the world, since the formation of the Association’s Fleet Division 21 years ago. More particularly, it reflects the specialist activity of our anniversary year, such as our ‘Safer Roads, Safer Driver’ Conference that was addressed by the Road Safety Minister, Dr Stephen Ladyman MP, and our involvement in GreenFleet’s ‘Arrive ‘N’ Drive’ event at Silverstone.
“It also takes account of our ongoing programmes on behalf of, for example, the London Borough of Newham, for whom we assess the drivers of their 400-strong vehicle fleet that spans everything from refuse collectors to cars.”
