IAM Fleet Gets New Head of Training

Lloyd Brown is IAM Fleet’s new Head of Training. He started life in West Norfolk, moving to Essex with his parents when he was 15. He was an employee of the Essex Police force for 31 years, and has been directly involved with driver training since 1980 - 18 Lloyd Brown, IAM Fleet's new Head of Trainingyears of which was spent as an Instructor, during which time he helped many colleagues from all over the South East region attain similar status.

For the last 5 years he has worked for MAC Driver Training (formerly Honda MAC). His involvement in the fleet industry has been varied and included developing, monitoring and delivering fleet driver training and having direct contact with large client companies.

Lloyd also has experience of a wide range of specialist types of training, including the introduction of new models to the sales staff of Honda dealerships. As a result, he is as comfortable with corporate track days and emergency organisation training as he is with UK familiarisation and Saga activity.

Married with two grown up children, he lives with his wife and daughter in Rayne, Essex. Outside work Lloyd’s interests include motorsport, photography and watercolour painting. He is also actively involved in voluntary work with a Gateway Award scheme for people with learning difficulties.
