Lichfield Group of Advanced Motorists Wins Road Safety Award

The Lichfield Group of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) based in South Staffordshire has won an IAM Group Achievement Award.

This nation-wide competition is open to over 200 IAM groups and the award goes to the group which was considered to have contributed most towards safety and the principles of the IAM during the past 12 months.

The specially engraved glass trophy and a cheque for £600 was presented to Graham Ottewell, Senior Observer of the Lichfield IAM Group by Christopher Bullock, IAM Chief Executive. The award sponsor was John Cushion of Saffron Insurance.

IAM National Group Committee Chairman Mike Lyne said: “I am delighted that our President has enabled us to recognise the achievement of the Lichfield Group of motorists and allows that group to continue their valuable work promoting the IAM in its quest to improve road safety.”
