How can the Group help me?

The Group offer observed runs on a one to one basis in your own car. Your driving skills and attitude to all aspects of road use will be closely monitored by an Observer (a volunteer group member who has passed the Advanced Test and received further training). The observer will give you practical advice and complete a check sheet at the end of each drive. As well as the monthly meeting you are encouraged to arrange further observed drives with your chosen observer at a time convenient to you both.

How does the Group Operate?

We meet for observed drives on the first Sunday of each month at Halfords Superstore, Southam Road, Banbury (A423) between 10:00 and 12:00 am. At you first meeting you will be alloted an Observer who will take you on a FREE assessment drive, give you a written report and usually a demonstration drive with commentary. If, after this you decide to become an Associate member, then further drives with your chosen Observer are arranged to suit both of you. If you are unable to attend on our Drive Days then contact John Riches to arrange a convenient time.

Socially we meet, usually at 7.30pm ofn the first Friday of each month, either at St Francis Church, Highlands, Banbury or at a venue advertised in our monthyl magazine. Our Social events are restricted only by our imagination, we have been Badger watching, gliding, playing skittles, had guided tours of agricultural machinery, veteran cars, a working watermill and Hook Norton. We have had talks on Hang Gliding, wine and tyres. Join us and give us your new ideas.
