Over 100 IAM members attended Holker Hall in Cumbria where they enjoyed a multi-faceted day in the sun. A range of Kia cars was available for them to try
under the watchful eye of the IAM examiners, while the more adventurous sampled pillion rides on a Honda Fireblade and other motorcycles assembled by IAM Motorcycle Advisor Ian Marginson and his team.
The visitors were also able to patronise the fabulous Lakeland Motor Museum (since rehoused at Blackbarrow, Lake Windermere), which comprises a magnificent collection of cars, motorcycles and automobilia, as well as a celebration of the lives and record-breaking exploits of Sir Malcolm Campbell and his son Donald.
A similar event is planned for this year – Details will be available in the next issue and also in Advanced Driving
