The first ever Northern Ireland Members’ Day was held in association with the Northern Ireland Motorcycle Festival at the King’s Hall, Belfast on March 17 and was attended by over 200 IAM members.
Thousands of bikers from home and abroad visited the three-day Festival, which was co-sponsored by the IAM and their insurance broker, Adelaide of Belfast.
The members were able to meet famous motorcycle racers, such as former World Champion Troy Corser (former multiple World Champion)and view the latest offerings from the key motorcycle manufacturers.
There was also much to interest four-wheel fans, from family Peugeots to the mighty 8-litre Chrysler Viper displayed by local dealer Charles Hurst. Chats between old and new friends continued long after the excellent buffet lunch.
The event was judged to have been a great success and it is planned to return in 2008.
