Road Safety Minister takes IAM DriveCheck


Paul Clark, the Road Safety Minister and MP for Gillingham, has this week (8 March 2010) become the first serving Department for Transport Minister to take a driving assessment with the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists).

Mr Clark spent 45 minutes on a mixture of roads in Kent, including motorways, under the watchful gaze of IAM Chief Examiner Peter Rodger.

London in bottom four in European public transport stakes


Of 23 top European cities, London is in the bottom four public transport according to EuroTest’s latest Europe-wide local public transport survey carried out across Europe. London comes behind Warsaw and Rome when taking into account travel times, ease of transfers, information provision, ticketing and fares, with only Budapest, Ljubljana and Zagreb rated lower.
