IAM membership

The IAM has a strong and active membership of over 100,000 people from the UK (and beyond!). Members join having passed our Advanced Driving or Riding Test and contribute a small annual membership fee to belong to the organisation.

As a member of the IAM you are also entitled to a great range of especially negotiated benefits and exclusive offers to help you get the most from your driving or motorcycling.

Becoming part of the IAM, in whatever capacity, is a great way to enhance your driving and riding skills in an enjoyable and educational environment. Of course, safety is always our top concern, but it’s a fun and exciting experience too! This video shows a brief overview of what the IAM is like.

We encourage all members to remain actively involved with the IAM after they’ve taken their Advanced Driving Test. Some members go on to play active roles in their local IAM group, others volunteer to become trained observers. Whatever the level of involvement, all members are equally important in contributing to the work we do.
