Being on the Skill for Life course has taught me not only about my driving, but I also appreciate my car and look after it more. I wish it hadnt taken an accident to get me on the Skill for Life course, I wish Id done it much sooner. I have my confidence back again and drive much better than I ever have; in fact on average Im getting 50 miles extra per tank of fuel, thats brilliant! I havent enjoyed driving this much since I was a teenager! One important lesson though was realising that nobody is the perfect driver and you keep on learning every day.

It was most certainly a memorable day when I passed as an advanced motorist and I am most appreciative of all those dedicated Observers, Club Officials and Examiners who shared their considerable expertise and time on my behalf. I can witness that even after having driven on a daily basis for over 60 years, more or less incident free, there was still much which could be improved. I`m sure that I am now a more considerate, observant, economical and efficient driver.

The members were approachable and set a calm tone throughout the process, which put me at ease and created a good learning environment.
